Gentle Morning Hatha Yoga

Life is busy, our minds are even busier. Let this class be an invitation for you to turn your focus inwards, with the intention of moving slow like honey. We will gently invite flexibility and strength at the same time as we invite calm within the body with our pranayama, the breath. Yoga is a practice, creating union within the mind, body, and soul. Learning to tune-inward, to the Sat Nam, your true self, instead of looking to the outer world to tell us who we are. While we move we learn and understand our bodies abilities. Affirming to ourselves I am enough as I am, I embrace and accept my body with loving kindness. Learning to allow yoga to be what it is in my body, embracing our uniqueness and a wonderful gift.

Yang for the Yin

Yang is the effort and Yin is all the restorative ease. We begin with the yang, which is the state which most of us live in all the time. The effort, the doing, the active, the strength. We finish with the Yin, the last 30 minutes of pure restorative bliss. Resting for longer in poses that invite release and ease within the body. Really feeling into the unwind, restoration and calm. Getting out of the hustle and bustle, the pushing ourselves through the bodies signals to slow down. Yin is a practice of stilling the body and the mind.

Hatha / Yin

This is a great combination of creating strength and flexibility in the body, and then resting in a restorative pose for several minutes.  We will slowly create a flow, a series of poses that connects gracefully from one asana to the next. When we have created heat in the body, we then rest in a restorative pose and absorb the practice. Tuning into the breath, inviting calm within.

Kundalini – Awakening the 10 Bodies

This is a sacred spiritual practice, we connect deeply within our own beliefs and how we personally view a higher power. Mantra’s and Mudra’s and Kriya’s are a deep part of the practice. This is an energy moving practice. We use the breath, Mantra and our voices in Kriya, to connect, expand and release what no longer serves us and holds us back from living in our highest truth, our Sat Nam.

Kundalini is a beautiful for the practitioner, challenging yourself to overcome your mind. That you are not your thoughts. You choose which thoughts you give your energy to, creating the life around you.
